NAEA Headquarters Staff
Robert Kerr, Executive Vice President
As Executive Vice President, Robert Kerr leads staff and manages the day-to-day operations of NAEA. Bob works closely with the NAEA Board of Directors, combining strategic goals with tactical initiatives to meet member needs and help grow the organization. He also works closely with lawmakers, IRS and other tax-related organizations to advocate for more effective tax administration and stronger protection of taxpayer rights.
Before stepping into the EVP role, Bob served for more than 12 years as NAEA’s Senior Director, Government Relations. Prior to joining NAEA, he spent a decade at the Internal Revenue Service where, among other things, he led a variety of electronic filing initiatives. Bob provided IRS oversight on the United States Senate Finance Committee as well, and has experience leading government affairs activities in the private sector.
Holli Jones Kimbrough, Director of Meetings and Education
As Director of Meetings and Education, Holli is responsible for all NAEA educational programming and events. These responsibilities include programming and logistics for the National Conference and NTPI Orlando. Holli works with the Education chair and Subcommittees (NTPI and Tax Education) to manage the call for speakers, develop programming, and review course materials. She also manages the meeting logistics including hotel contracts, food and beverage, and audio-visual. In addition to the live meetings, Holli is responsible for online education including EA Exam Prep with Gleim, Level 1 Online, EA Journal and webinars. Holli maintains NAEA’s accreditation with IRS, NASBA, and other credentialing bodies and works very hard to stay abreast of changes in CE to ensure compliance. In addition, Holli serves as liaison to the NAEA Education Foundation and manages the scholarship process for NAEA.
Cynthia Perez, Online Education Manager
Cynthia has extensive experience administering continuing education programs. As NAEA’s Online Education Manager, she facilitates the planning and implementation of assigned programs, which include webinars and self-directed online learning.
DeAndre Thornton, Meetings and Education Coordinator
DeAndre supports the activities of the meetings and education department. He assists with the planning and delivery of NAEA’s National Conference and two other programs. He is responsible for tasks related to the area of Continuing Education (CE) and processes involving the associations learning management system.
Finance and Administration
Cassandra Brown, Associate Director of Finance and Administration
Cassandra Brown, Manager of Finance and Administration at NAEA is charged with maintaining NAEA’s financial records through financial statement analysis and preparation. Some of her other responsibilities include cash management, budgeting, audit preparation, payroll and benefits administration, and enforcement of NAEA’s standards and policies. Cassandra manages the finance and human resources areas of NAEA.
Gloriel Rodriguez, Finance Support Specialist
Gloriel provides accounting and clerical support within the finance and administration department as NAEA’s Finance Support Specialist. She works to accurately prepare and maintain accounting documents and records. Gloriel provides support to the finance and administration department by handling basic bookkeeping, processing reports, keeping financial records updated, and handling other financial business transactions. She functions at NAEA in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws.
Kimberly Muse, Administrative Associate
Kimberly provides special support to the finance and administration department, executive office, membership and marketing team as the Administrative Associate of NAEA. She connects with team members organization-wide, with members of the association along with non-members. Kimberly executes assignments in various functional areas of the organization by working across teams to support projects and tasks.
Justin Edwards, Associate Director of Government Relations
Justin has served as an advocate for NAEA members since October 2012. Justin leads NAEA’s government relations efforts on behalf of the EA profession by collaborating with IRS executives, policymakers, their staffs, the congressional tax-writing committees, and tax practitioner and tax industry stakeholders who engage in tax reform and tax administration issues. Justin serves as Treasurer of NAEA PAC, a key advocacy initiative that helps NAEA members participate in the political process while helping NAEA build strong relationships with policymakers who serve on the congressional tax-writing committees. Justin also serves as the primary liaison between NAEA members, the IRS Return Preparer Office, and the Office of Practitioner Enrollment to help NAEA members maintain their federally-issued EA licenses.
Membership, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations and IT
Katrina Holland, Senior Director of Membership Strategy and Business Operations
Katrina Holland provides leadership across teams and ensures that membership strategy for recruitment and retention aligns with business planning across the organization. She helps align strategy with operations by guiding the Membership, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations and IT functions at NAEA. She ensures timely implementation of NAEA plans to support organizational goals. In so doing, she works with the Membership Committee, Public Relations Committee and Affiliate Council to advance the strategic priorities of NAEA. Katrina oversees the management of NAEA's IT infrastructure planning, including the intersections of the membership database, website and other business tools where technological planning must meet member needs.
John Michaels, Senior Manager of Public Relations
John Michaels is responsible for guiding public relations and external communications activities at NAEA. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, Communications, and Public Relations, John supports organization-wide efforts to broaden awareness of industry credentials and strengthen NAEA’s brand identity across key stakeholder audiences. His work includes managing press requests, proactive media outreach, and monitoring relevant news coverage. He also works closely with the membership, government relations and meetings and education teams to publicize their work to members, media, elected officials, and the public.
Jennifer Harrison, Membership Manager
Working closely with NAEA’s Director of Membership, Jennifer provides support for all membership initiatives, ensuring membership operations function efficiently and effectively. She also teams up with member-benefit providers to maintain accurate distribution of benefits. Jennifer supports NAEA’s front lines, assisting members and prospective members each day.
David Schuller, Digital Media Specialist
As the Digital Media Specialist, David Schuller oversees content development for NAEA’s social media channels and supports the Senior Director of Membership Strategy and Business Operations by tracking social analytics and implementing digital media strategies. David engages with staff, stakeholders, and advertisers to source expert content, implement promotions and maintain consistent brand awareness. David also provides guidance to committee members by hosting social media training webinars, maintaining content and media archives, and preparing social media graphics, streams, and images.
